Brandon advocates for increased institutional inclusiveness, social justice accountability, and diversity leadership through his research agenda--which explores the various relationships between organizational culture, leadership, institutional policy, and socialization in higher education. Specifically, he analyzes how these variables intersect to influence access, equity, interactions and persistence of historically underrepresented and traditionally undeserved groups across university and college campuses. In addition, he serves as a reviewer for the Review of Educational Research, an editorial review board member for The Journal of HBCU Research + Culture, and board member/editor for the Journal for the Study of Postsecondary and Tertiary Education (JSPTE).
